On Friday, Fredonia Athletics tweeted pictures of some of the renovations happening in Dods Hall this summer:
Dods Hall abuzz with activity this summer: new paint for the gym, carpet & updates for the soon-to-be women's tennis locker, full tear down ahead of new equipment for the student-athlete workout room. @FredoniaU #DodsHallofaPlace #Phase1 #MoretoFollow pic.twitter.com/iePlI6FhPD

Some renovations won’t be done right away. For instance, new bleachers won’t be installed in the gym until next summer.
But apparently there was money being saved in an account, accumulating, waiting until there was enough to be spent. I imagine when Fredonia’s new athletic director saw that money he said, “We can use this money to get better right now.”
This is a great example of what Seth Godin calls “merely beginning“:
With inadequate preparation, because you will never be fully prepared.
With imperfect odds of success, because the odds are never perfect.
Begin. With the humility of someone who’s not sure, and the excitement of someone who knows that it’s possible.”
