Preseason soreness

There are several proven ways to decrease muscular soreness:

  • Take caffeine, which blocks pain receptors.
  • Take BCAA’s (branched-chain amino acids), which reduces muscle breakdown.
  • Use topical menthol, which cools the skin and reduces muscle pain.
  • Thoroughly warm-up, which, for some reason, works.

That said, the best way to decrease muscular soreness might be to simply accept that it’s there.

Indeed, if you accept the pain it cannot hurt you.
