Why I bike

I’ve written a bunch of posts like this, but as the weather changes I get more strange looks:

Cars are expensive.

Bikes are cheap.

If you set up a life that doesn’t require frequent car use, commute by bike instead, and invest the money you save, you end up independently wealthy. I’m not kidding.

The choice goes something like this: Short term convenience (car) or long-term wealth (bike). Every day I pick the later.

No, it’s not for everyone, and it’s not the only path to wealth, but it’s mine, and it’s for me.
