The group you wish would include you does not get together to plot your demise: “Okay, how can we make Betty miserable today? Ah, yes! Let’s not invite her to lunch!”

No. The group just doesn’t think about you.

The choice is yours: tell the group you want to be invited–being sure that those are the people you want to associate with–or start your own group, in the image of the person you want to become.
