Groups of complainers

It’s fun to be part of a group of complainers: you get to feel right and make “friends” based on a common misperception.

It’s harder to understand; and yet harder to lead. I’ve watched leader after leader get chased away by complainers that refused to do the difficult work of understanding and leading.

In 2011 a group of complainers descended on Wall Street to occupy a space and protest a state they didn’t understand. Ten years later the “problem” they complained about has gotten worse, and they still don’t understand it.
